Leaks say Apple’s going ultra-thin with the iPhone 17 Air—5.5mm thin, to be exact. That’s wild. But you know what else gets thin? Battery capacity. Drop resistance. Repairability. All the stuff that actually matters.

As someone who’s worked on networks, hardware, and the inside of more iPhones than I want to admit—this isn’t progress. It’s polish. And for $1K+, we deserve better than a phone that needs bubble wrap and a battery bank just to survive a Tuesday. I love my 12 Pro – only wish I had the Satellite texting….

Unless you like style over substance, I’d wait this one out. Or grab last year’s model for half the price and twice the sanity.
