Nintendo’s Playing Chess, Not Checkers

We finally got the skinny on the Nintendo Switch 2, and let me tell you, it’s not chasing raw horsepower—it’s playing to its strengths. Bigger screen, better performance when docked, still portable, and—thank the gods—backward compatibility.

Here’s what I love: while Sony and Microsoft are busy flexing 8K cutscenes, Nintendo’s building longevity and community. If you’re in gaming-adjacent business—accessories, streaming tools, indie dev—you should be paying attention. The Switch 2 won’t just sell well, it’ll last, and that’s gold in an industry that churns through platforms like printer cartridges.

And yeah, the LCD screen over OLED is a step back. But they’re cutting costs to hit that $399 target. Respect.
